How to Contact Tech Support

Is your request urgent?
Urgent requests include things like:
- Email/server outages
- Network outages
- Point-of-sale system outages
- Other computer issues that severely impact your ability to perform your work
Here's how to get in touch for urgent requests:
- Call Tech Support at 780-492-4987. Please call only within office hours (9:00am-5:00pm) unless it's extremely urgent (click here for info on after-hours support).
- You may be asked to submit a Tech Support Ticket, just to make sure nothing gets missed.
Is your request less urgent?
Less urgent requests include things like:
- Installing new programs or upgrades on your computer
- Requesting a new computer or user account for a new staff member (please do this in advance)
- General assistance or questions regarding a computer program
- Computer issues that do not have a major impact on your ability to perform your work
Here's how to get in touch for less urgent requests:
- Submit a Tech Support Ticket.
- You'll get an email from the ticketing system once there's any updates or if we need more information from you.
If you are unable to connect to the Tech Ticket Portal (i.e. the website is down), you can email tech.support@su.ualberta.ca. Please do not use email if you are able to access the portal.
